In short
Polyhedra collects no data from anyone, children included. It has no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking. The narration, the fonts and every shape are inside the app, so it works offline, and the only network connection it ever makes is to the App Store when a grown-up buys or restores a pack.
Who we are
Polyhedra is made by AI BISTRO d.o.o., Cesta v Lipovce 3B, 1358 Log pri Brezovici, Slovenia. For anything about this policy or your data, email apple@ai-bistro.com. We are the controller for the only personal data we handle: email you send us, and the IP address your browser sends when you open these web pages (see "This website").
What stays on your device
The app saves a few things in its own storage on your iPhone or iPad, so it can pick up where you left off:
- the shapes you have made (your shelf), the step you reached in a fold, and which lessons you finished;
- your settings: paper size, colour-blind colours, read-aloud, calm motion;
- which packs you own, as a copy of what the App Store says, so they open offline.
None of it ever leaves your device. We cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes it; Grown-ups › Start over clears the shelf.
Printing and Save as PDF make the pages on your device and hand them to the iOS share sheet. Where they go from there (a printer, Files, AirDrop) is your choice; we receive nothing.
Buying packs
The app is free to download. Extra packs of shapes are one-time in-app purchases, made through Apple's App Store under Apple's own privacy policy. Every purchase, Restore Purchases and every setting sits behind a grown-up check, so a child cannot buy anything by tapping around. Apple's Ask to Buy and Screen Time limits work as usual.
The app asks the App Store which packs your Apple Account owns. It sends no receipt or identifier to us, and we have no server. We receive sales reports from Apple that do not identify you. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may also give us aggregated, anonymous usage statistics. The app itself adds nothing to them.
Children
Polyhedra is made for children aged 6 and up, with grown-ups. We collect no personal information from children, or from anyone else, through the app. There are no ads, no links out of the app that a child can reach, no chat and no sharing with other people. The read-aloud voice is computer-generated speech (a Microsoft neural voice), recorded in advance and bundled in the app; nothing a child says or types is recorded or sent anywhere.
Email you send us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to answer you (legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f), or taking steps you asked for, Art. 6(1)(b)). It is stored with our email provider, which processes it on our behalf, and it is not shared with anyone else or used for marketing. We delete support correspondence two years after the conversation ends, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Please don't send us a child's personal details.
This website
These pages use no cookies, no analytics, no scripts and no third-party fonts. To deliver them, our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services (Amazon CloudFront), receives your IP address and the page you ask for, as every web server does. It processes them on our behalf, only to deliver the pages and protect the service (legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a website, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We have not turned on access logs, so we keep no record of visits and cannot connect a visit to anyone. The app itself never opens these pages.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. In practice that is only your email: we keep no record of website visits. You may also ask us to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive it in a portable form. Write to apple@ai-bistro.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a new version of the app ever collects data, this page will say so before that version is released.
